Rule Great to see ES&tMZ on BC. Cool grooves but also working to create better conditions for muso's. It's a win win.
On the first listen this is a sonically mature album, in terms of classy, varied, interesting and lyrically sincere and, dare I say, deep.
If that doesn't float your boat, it's dang foot tappable Favorite track: Uncomfortable.

Laban Cole I didn't notice this album come out, to me it was a hidden gem. Some of the richest lyrics from Ebert. The first chord of Lullaby dares me to cry every single time I listen. My favourite Zero album. Favorite track: Lullaby.

Hot Coals 07:17
Hot coals laying on my motorcade / Jewelry gone, eyes still blue / Thin memories in love with you, my hoary fire / In love with you. Get the fuck out my sight. Cold eats the flesh of broken hearts / tender the strike of tinder gods. Hot coals. Embers across a rayless sky / still warm my soul, I often cry. Hot coals. Slag reveries in love with you / my hoary fire, in love with you. Stay the fuck in my heart. Hot coals tonight, Cimmerian. Hot coals to die, Cimmerian. Heavy the tongue of tinder ray / shot by the road, a slow decay. Hot coals. Heady, the musk of cinder love / ashes beneath her tender rug. Hot coals. Slag reveries in love with you / my hoary fire, drip from the skies. Stay the fuck in my heart. Hot coals to die, Cimmerian. Hot coals alive, Cimmerian. Freedom of / the dying man is God. Freedom of / the dying man is God.

Somewhere 03:18
Everyday a hole in my pocket, every night I’m alright, When it’s kisses I’m on a rocket, I believe I’m going somewhere, She got a belly full of baby, ya she say it gonna be fine I believe her, but I’m crazy, I believe we’re going somewhere… Somewhere along I saw her wondering, Lonely and wondering, so lonely and wondering, Now we’ve come together and we’re wondering home I believe, I believe we’re going somewhere Everyday a hole in my pocket, every night I’m alright, When it’s kisses I’m on a rocket, I believe we’re going somewhere Got no money in my t-shirt, see me flying on the freeway, Me and you and baby Ebert I believe we’re going somewhere… Somewhere along I found you wondering Lonely and wondering, so lovely and wondering Now we’ve come together and we’re wondering home I believe we’re going somewhere Somewhere… You love your man Crawling on the land With the mercy of a god To help you make a man You make a man… Speedways on I’m gone I’ve got me.

Let It Down 04:33
The Dawn fixed behind a curtain, Two fingers of satin spun in the moonlight, Playing the air - no home, Spinning in the sunlight, remember us laughing On Acid Remember the forest – home. Let it down Let it be Let it heal From memory Member you, member me, member love Memories. Sex, more like incest, The violence of cartoons On eggshells of platinum, Burned in the fire – friends. So then you’re gone To trade gold for pennies, When our love was free Remember you always – friend. Let it down Let it be Let it heal From memory Let is down, let it rip, let it dust, let it fly Member love, Memories Memories Memories, Mmmm.

Perfect Time 04:41
What is a cold-blooded mad man to do, With a smile across his teeth and a chest full of goo, And it cuts through my junk, And it smash up my eyes, And it sings like a song ‘fore you die Sunny day shootings, Breakfast beheadings, Lunchtime Wartime, Armageddon, God! tell me what to do… It’s a perfect time for love. Never a punk smiled so wide, Never have teeth seen so much sky, And it smash up my junk, And it screws up my eyes, And it sings like a song before you die Mountain top chokings, Afternoon rapists, Primetime Wartime, I can’t take it God! tell me what to do… Is it time for love? Whatever colors you wear, Oh! They gonna bleed some day Some rainbow day.. We’ll have the perfect time…. Skipping, hugging, laughing, singing, Dancing, romancing, spinning, singing God! tell me what to do… It’s a perfect time for love… With you…

Lullaby 03:55
Earfy Birfy, Bossy, angry, Isn’t this a perfect love? If I could stop the world from turning, Round and round and round and round! The world turn around and all I see is … , Eartha, homey, soft and boney, Isn’t it a simple love, Sweet as honey, strangely funny, How could I, the mad man dressed in chain, Conjure such an angel in my name, Aren’t you the freshness of a dream, If only I could protect you from me, If only - but I fear it will be my fault, If ever my dear you act adult… And round and round and round and round! The world turn round and all I see is… Round and round and round and round The world turn round and all I see… If only you can learn not of Manrude If only you could go on in the nude If only - but I fear it will be my fault If ever dear you act adult And sadder though it is, but when I’m gone And you have a child all of your own… And round and round and round and round! The world turn round and all I see…

about

Free Trade Music Certified - www.fairtrademusic.info

“Fair Trade Music” is an initiative designed to transform music in much the same way “fair trade” has transformed the value chain for agricultural products such as coffee.

Music creators receive almost none of the increasing revenues generated by the enjoyment of their music through digital music providers such as streaming services. By clearly designating music services and businesses that are willing to work with music creators to correct this unsustainable situation, consumers will be given “fair” choices – ones that ensure that the songwriters, artists and musicians whose music they enjoy, fairly participate in revenues.
